Personal Information You Provide

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide when registering for an account or using our Service:

• Account Information: Name, email address, and sign-in identifiers
• Profile Information: Date of birth, gender, height, weight
• Health Information: Body measurements, weight logs, body fat percentage, progress photos
• Health Data: Step count, activity data (when you grant permission to access Apple Health or similar services)
• Waitlist Information: Email address and non-identifying campaign attribution when you request early access

Information Automatically Collected

When you access our Service, we automatically collect certain information about your device:

• Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers
• Usage Information: Features used, time spent on app, interaction patterns
• Log Information: IP address, browser type, access times, referring URLs

Photos and Media

• Progress Photos: Photos you upload to track your physical progress
• Photo Metadata: Date taken, orientation (EXIF data is removed before storage)

Data Storage and Security

Where We Store Data

• Product data (profile, body metrics, chat, waitlist) is stored in Neon (PostgreSQL)
• Progress photos are stored in cloud object storage for sync

Security Measures

• Sign in with Apple through Jovie Better Auth; we do not store user passwords
• Production service APIs use HTTPS
• Service APIs authenticate account requests through Jovie Better Auth

Data Retention

• We retain your data as long as your account is active
• You can request deletion via Settings > Delete Account

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We may share your information only in these circumstances:

1. With Your Consent: When you explicitly agree to share
2. Service Providers: Third-party services that help operate our Service:
   • Jovie (authentication)
   • Neon (database hosting)
   • Cloudflare R2 (progress-photo storage)
   • Vercel (web hosting)
   • RevenueCat (subscription and purchase entitlements)
   • Sentry (error tracking and crash reporting)
   • Statsig (feature experimentation and product analytics)
   • Apple Speech for voice input; recognition stays on device when supported and may use network recognition otherwise
   • The selected speech provider receives response text only when voice playback is requested
3. Legal Requirements: If required by law or to protect rights and safety
4. Business Transfers: In connection with a merger or acquisition (with notice)

Your Rights and Choices

Access and Control

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data via Settings > Export Data
• Update or correct your information
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Download a copy of your data in JSON format
• Email support@logyourbody.com to request a data export if you cannot access in-app export tools

Communication Preferences

• Opt out of marketing emails via unsubscribe link
• Manage notification preferences in app settings

Waitlist Data

• We retain waitlist email addresses until invitations are complete or you ask us to delete yours
• You may unsubscribe from waitlist emails using the link in any message
• You may request deletion of your waitlist entry by emailing privacy@logyourbody.com

Health Data Permissions

• Grant or revoke access to Apple Health at any time
• Control which health metrics are synced

Children's Privacy

Our Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover we have collected such information, we will delete it immediately.

International Data Transfers

If you access our Service from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States where our servers are located.

California Privacy Rights

California residents have additional rights under the CCPA:
